OVERVIEW In 2020, David Costanza won the Rotch Traveling Scholarship, becoming the 2020 Rotch Scholar. The Rotch Traveling Scholarship is an annual two-stage design competition that grants one person, referred to as the Rotch Scholar, the opportunity to travel the world for six months to study architecture. The first stage of the selection process is a 72-hour preliminary design competition. Finalists from this competition advance to the second stage, a 10-day design competition culminating in a design presentation to a distinguished jury.
Due to the global pandemic, travel was postponed until 2021 and was completed in 2022 as more countries granted access.
